What is PNGDAC?

The PNGDAC is an online form that replaces the traditional paper-based incoming passenger card for all travellers entering Papua New Guinea.

Where can I submit PNGDAC?

To submit the PNGDAC, passengers can access the PNGDAC website URL – pngdac.ica.gov.pg

How soon can I submit the PNGDAC?

The card should be submitted within 72 hours before arriving in Papua New Guinea (including the date of arrival).

What should a passenger do if they did not receive the PNGDAC Confirmation via email?

Please contact the Immigration Officer at the entry checkpoint.

When submitting the PNGDAC upon arrival into Papua New Guinea​, can the PNGDAC Confirmation be printed from the terminal?

No. The system will send the submission details and PNGDAC Confirmation to the passenger's email only. For upon arrival submissions, passengers can take a photo of the PNGDAC Confirmation from the PNGDAC

Do flights that are technical landings or transit flights need to register for PNGDAC?

Yes, the PNGDAC submission is required for all persons entering Papua New Guinea.

How many entries can be submitted at once for a family PNGDAC submission?

A maximum of 10 entries can be submitted per submission.

What information is required to complete PNGDAC?

- Passport details
- Flight number and arrival date
- Address in Papua New Guinea.
- Travel purpose
- Health Declaration Information
- Goods and Prohibited Items Declarations
- Email for Receiving the PNGDAC"

Who is required to submit PNGDAC?

All persons entering Papua New Guinea are required to submit their information prior to their arrival into Papua New Guinea.

How long is my PNGDAC valid?

Your PNGDAC is valid from the time you submit it until you arrive in Papua New Guinea. You can submit the form up to 72 hours before Arrival.

Can I use the same PNGDAC for multiple entries?

No, This PNGDAC is only valid for one time use for travel on the expected date of arrival indicated. So, you must submit a new PNGDAC every time you enter Papua New Guinea.

Do children need PNGDAC?

Yes. All travellers including infants and children are required to have a PNGDAC.

Do transit travellers need to submit a PNGDAC?

No. A PNGDAC is only required for travellers entering Papua New Guinea.

I'm arriving by land or sea. Do I need PNGDAC?

No. The PNGDAC is currently only available to travellers arriving by air into Jacksons International Airport (POM).

I'm entering with visa on arrival. Can I still use PNGDAC?

Yes, PNGDAC is compatible with all visa types, including visa-on-arrival and visa-exempt entries.

Do diplomatic passport holders need to fill out the PNGDAC?

Yes, all persons entering Papua New Guinea are required to submit.

Do crew members need to submit a PNGDAC?

No. Crew are only required to complete the Crew “Declaration Custom Form G17.”

What if I don't have a smartphone or internet access?

You can use one of the PNGDAC kiosks to complete your submission on arrival.

What if the website is unavailable?

If you experience a website error, we recommend keeping a screenshot of the error message and contact airport or immigration staff on arrival.

Is my data secure?

Yes, PNGDAC is only accessible to relevant immigration and border security authorities.

Is my data shared with other countries?

No. Data is not shared externally and is used only for Papua New Guinea government border control purposes.

Will I get a reminder before my flight?

PNGDAC does not send reminders.

H​ow long does it take to fill out PNGDAC?

Only about 3-5 minutes per person, if all information is ready.

What happens at immigration after I complete PNGDAC?

Completing the PNGDAC in advance helps facilitate a faster and more efficient immigration process upon arrival.

Is PNGDAC available in multiple languages?

PNGDAC platform and instructions are available in English and Tok Pisin. Information MUST be completed in English only.

Is PNGDAC an optional or mandatory information to submit?

Yes, PNGDAC submission is required for all persons entering Papua New Guinea.

Is there any penalty for airlines if passengers submit incorrect information?

No penalty for airlines. Passengers may be denied entry based on immigration discretion.

Will the passenger receive any notification alert regarding PNGDAC prior to their travel?

PNGDAC System will not send notification or alert messages to passengers entering Papua New Guinea.

Can PNGDAC be submitted multiple times?

Yes, it can be submitted multiple times with the correct information. The system will display the most recently updated entry.

Do I need to print anything?

No, you don't have to print the confirmation. We recommend downloading the PNGDAC Confirmation after submitting or from your email on your phone or any device. This will assist to ensure a prompt clearance on your arrival into Papua New Guinea. But if you don’t have a device with you, printing a copy as a backup is a good idea.

Can I submit PNGDAC for someone else?

Yes, you may complete it for family members, children, or group travellers.

Can I save my progress and finish later?

No, we recommend getting your info ready first, then completing the submission. You may update at any time prior to presenting to Immigration upon arrival into Papua New Guinea.

If PNGDAC has been submitted via an upon arrival kiosk terminal, can the PNGDAC confirmation be used as proof of evidence for submission?

Yes, you can take a picture of the PNGDAC confirmation from the terminal or download the email confirmation to your device.

What if the passenger does not have any email address to submit PNGDAC?

It is recommended to create an email address to receive PNGDAC information. If you cannot create or access an email address, please notify the Immigration officer at entry.

How many individuals can submit PNGDAC at once if travelling in a family group?

A maximum of 10 passengers can be submitted per application.

Can I check or retrieve my submission?

Yes. You can view your submitted details in your download PNGDAC document or received via email.

What if I make a mistake in my submission?

You have two options:
- You can update any incorrect information using the “Update PNGDAC” function except for your Full Name, Passport Number, Nationality and Date of Birth.
- If the information you want to change cannot be updated, we recommend submitting a new form with the correct details. The latest valid submission will be considered your declaration."

What if my flight or hotel changes?

Your submission must be accurate and complete before your entry into Papua New Guinea. If anything needs to be corrected, you can update or submit a new form before your entry.

Can tour operators submit PNGDAC for group travellers?

Yes, agents or tour leaders can submit.

Does a charter or incentive group need to submit PNGDAC?

Yes, all passengers entering Papua New Guinea must submit a PNGDAC.

Can a travel agency submit PNGDAC on behalf of their clients?

Yes, if authorised by the clients and proper information is provided. Many travel companies offer the submission service for their clients.
